Where I was
For most of my life, I never really understood money.
I worked, earned something, spent it, and repeated the same cycle every month.
I wasn’t irresponsible — I just didn’t know what I was supposed to do differently. No one really teaches you how money works in real life.
I thought: work harder → earn more → life gets easier.
But even when I earned, it never felt like progress.
There was no plan, no direction, no control — just surviving from one month to the next.
What made me wake up
At some point, it hit me that nothing was going to change unless I changed it myself.
I looked at people around me — some were calm about money, some were investing, some had savings.
Meanwhile I was just reacting to expenses and hoping nothing unexpected happened.
I realized I didn’t want to live paycheck-to-paycheck forever.
I wanted stability. Freedom. Options.
Not luxury. Just the ability to breathe and know I’m okay financially.
That’s when I decided I needed to understand money from the ground up — not shortcuts, not “get rich quick”, but the real basics.
What I learned first (the basics)
These were the first things that actually changed how I see and handle money:
- Tracking where my money actually goes every month
- Building a small emergency buffer (even €200–€500 matters)
- Understanding the difference between saving and investing
- Avoiding “fast money” traps, hype, and emotional decisions
- Learning that consistency beats big risky moves
Nothing here is complicated — but doing these consistently is what creates real financial stability.
What I would do again if I restarted today
If I had to start from zero again, I wouldn’t try to get rich fast.
I would focus on building control first.
Here’s the simple plan I’d follow:
- Track income and expenses for 30 days
- Build a small emergency fund
- Remove unnecessary subscriptions and impulse spending
- Learn the basics of saving and investing
- Increase income through skills, not shortcuts
- Stay consistent instead of chasing fast results
The goal isn’t overnight success — it’s stability, then growth.
If you feel the same
You’re not late.
You’re not behind.
You just weren’t taught how money works.
This site is where I’m learning it from zero — step by step.
No hype.
No fake “get rich fast” promises.
Just real progress, real lessons, and real mistakes.
If you’re starting from nothing too — you’re in the right place.
